Often known as Tekno, Afrobeat musician and composer Augustine Miles Kelechukwu has gone to social media to debunk claims that he passed away in South Africa.
A viral video going around social media shows a man surrounded by people trying to help him after he falls during an event.
Sources claimed that Tekno, who was in South Africa, had the face on the video even if it was not clear-cut.
The artist responded by sharing a photo of himself on Instagram, letting his followers and fans know he is well and that he is not now in South Africa.
Still, he hoped that everyone seen on the video was safe and well.
“Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not now in South Africa. Whoever appeared in the video should be doing good and okay, I hope. I appreciate you people. Love you”.
The tweet by the singer received favorable responses from his supporters, fans, and friends.
Another narrative surfaced following the rumors, alleging that Kenyan rapper Prezzo—who dropped at the Bahatis’ premiere—was the actual person shown on the video.
